Biography

Launa Changnon is a visual artist living and working in Seattle, Washington.

Originally from the East coast, Launa has worked in the arts for 23 years, participated in gallery exhibitions, studied at the Academy of Fine Art and Design in Bratislava, Slovakia and worked at the Maine Media Workshops in Rockport, Maine. She received her Masters Degree in video art from Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland and has been working in video and installations since 2002. In 2019, she was awarded the 4Culture Art Project grant for her installation “I’m sorry for your loss” which was exhibited at METHOD Gallery in 2023.

Launa spends most of her time at her studio, working jobs at Studio Chair or in her yard deconstructing the songs of birds.
